Are plastic kitchen trash bags safe to brine a turkey in?

most are not food safe.... try a 5 gallon bucket that is very clean or check with the local bakery or restaurant to see if they have a 3-4 gallon bucket, I bought one at a bakery for 2 bucks. i do have to take out one of the shelves in my fridge when I use it though. :)
