Is politically correctness destroying our country?

Is there a chance that in the future we will have another civil war because of all the P.C. movements holding back races? Is being PC superficial and fake? I would rather know how someone feels about me than go on thinking this person is someone he or she is not. What happened to "The truth shall set you free?" Why does everyone have to make a such a difference between races? Why do we have to be Euro-American and African- American? Why can't we just be Black or White or whatever? Is it offensive to describe someone by what color they are over their PC term? I mean... If you see a black guy would you call him an African-American? What if hes from France? Would you call a white guy a Euro-American? What if hes from South Africa and he immigrated to Montana? Would that make him a African American? Who came up with all this PC drama? What purpose does it serve except to drive a wedge between people by placing names on them that are the same as naming breeds of dogs? Is that what we are just a bunch of different Breeds in the eyes of our government?
