Is it true that life expectancy for smokers is less than 65 years old?

I have seen smokers living up to 80 years of age. But, with smoking one loses many a things in the body which are vital to it's survival and that brings the life expectancy lower. There is no thumb rule of 65 years. It depends how much did one smoke and for how long. It also depends upon individual biology of each & every body. Some bodies are sturdier than others and take a lot of abuse which most of the other bodies will not be able to take. You see, like boxers, they take too many punches in every bout and still live, whereas a normal human being might sucb to probably just a very few of them.
