I don't like reading/studying the bible!?

Not spending every waking second studying the Bible is not a bad thing. If you believe in Jesus and understand the Bible to a certain degree, then you'll be fine. You are doing nothing wrong, in fact, your father is the one in the wrong for forcing you to do something you plainly don't want to.
